A Priority
Fun With Security in Mind
At Les Glissades du Domaine des Pays d’en Haut, we do everything possible to provide you with a safe environment for sliding. However, each slider is responsible for following the mountain code of conduct, adhering to site signage, and respecting the specific rules for winter sliding. Our staff is there to ensure these rules are followed throughout your visit. Thank you for your cooperation!
Safety Code
The mountain code of conduct establishes rules designed to promote harmonious coexistence among sliders. Before making your first descent, it is important to familiarize yourself with these rules.
1. Make your way back up safely
- On the magic carpet, remain standing at all times without walking until you reach the top. Hold your tube vertically in front of you.
- On the chairlift, hold your tube in front of you and lower the safety bar. Once at the top, raise the bar, hold your tube high to avoid tripping, and quickly move towards the exit. The minimum height to use the chairlift is 1.32 meters, and young children must be accompanied by someone of the required minimum height.
- In the tele-rafting, take your seat in the raft only once you reach the bottom of the lift and the attendant notifies you.
- Stay seated and keep your arms inside the raft. Disembark once the attendant at the top of the lift has unhooked your raft. Then, pull your rafting to the designated starting area.
- On the Bobsleigh-Vortex360 slope’s magic carpet, remain standing at all times either in front of or behind your raft, as directed by the attendant. Once at the top of the lift, pull your craft to the designated starting area.
2. Respect the starting safety barriers and the maximum limits.
- Never go under the gate; wait for an employee to open it
- Respect the maximum number of sliders for each slope before sliding.
3. Slide safely
Tube Slope
Choose a slope that matches your skill level (for little ones, beginner, intermediate, expert)
- Remain seated in your tube throughout the descent.
- Keep your arms and legs inside.
- Slide in a line, one in front of the other.
- Arrange yourself from heaviest to lightest, facing the slide.
- Position yourself in front of the "Start Here" sign or on the side of the gate.
- At the start, position yourself facing the slope, not with your back to it.
- The Avalanche and Formula 1 zones at the top of the mountain are reserved for individuals who are measuring at least 1.32 meters.
Clear the slope
Once at the bottom, quickly exit the slope and walk to the end. It is prohibited to cross through the slopes.
Follow the signage
Le Domaine has implemented signage to allow sliders to enjoy the activity safely. It is therefore important to familiarize yourself with and adhere to the signage. Additionally, you should only slide in the designated areas.
Rafting-Tornado slopes
- Once at the top, gently push the craft against the safety gate before sitting down. Be careful not to position yourself between the craft and the safety gate!
- For the use of the Tornado, you must be strapped in and remain strapped in throughout the descent.
- Remain seated during the whole descent and keep your arms in the craft at all times.
- Once at the bottom, help each other pull the raft to the bottom of the tele-rafting.
Bobsleigh-Vortex360 Slopes
- Minimal height required: 1,32 m.
- Follow the instructions provided by the attendant for a safe and proper ascent.
- A helmet is mandatory and provided for both the Bobsleigh and Vortex360.
- Make sure you are properly secured before descending.
- Remain seated and buckled throughout the descent.
- Pull your craft to the bottom of the magic carpet.
4. Prohibited behaviour
To ensure everyone’s safety, the slider must under no circumstances:
- Slide under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or substances that impair abilities.
- Slide outside of the numbered and designated slopes.
- Exceed the designated limits at the top or bottom of the slopes.
- Push or knock down other people on the lifts.
- Bump or hit others with the tubes.
- Slide on a slope marked as under repair or closed.
- Allow a child 12 years old or younger to slide without the supervision of a responsible adult.
- Stack tubes on yourself or another person.

Wear a helmet for your security
Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended. Our slopes are unlike those at parks near you! For a comfortable and safe descent, wear a helmet and ski goggles. Don’t have a helmet? We offer helmet and ski goggle rentals at the Boutique. Limited quantity.
Les Glissades provide helmets only for Bobsleigh and Vortex360. A full-face helmet is mandatory for Snow Bobsleigh.
Sit the children with you in a safe manner
For safety reasons, we prohibit sliding while carrying a baby or child in any type of baby carrier or backpack
The child can sit on the parent while tubing or sit next to the parent in Rafting or Tornado. Otherwise, the parent must ensure that the child is able to sit properly and safely for the descent.
An adult's presence on-site (whether sliding or not) is required for children 12 years old and under to slide. If the adult does not have a ticket, they must remain in the non-sliding area.

Take the time to familiarize yourself with the lifts
In addition to the rigorous daily inspections conducted on our six lifts to ensure the safety of all our users, attendants are present at each lift to assist with boarding and disembarking
On days when many young children are present on the site, the speed of the lifts is reduced to provide safer and more comfortable access for them. Attendants may also intervene at any time and activate the emergency stop if necessary.
Please speak to the attendant if you are not familiar with using the lifts or magic carpets.
You are being monitored!
The control stations are equipped with surveillance cameras that allow attendants to have an enhanced, comprehensive view of each slope, enabling them to easily identify which ones are clear and which are not. Our staff has access to surveillance screens inside the control stations, providing a complete overview of their sector. With this system, they can provide constant monitoring and ensure the safety of the sliders in real-time.
Signage
Signage
Several safety signs are placed at strategic locations to communicate the site’s directives and rules. It is important to read them before your first descent
The proper position to slide with a Tube
Pictograms at the start of the slopes illustrate the correct way to slide (with the smallest and lightest person at the back) as well as the maximum number of people allowed on a slope (which may vary throughout the day).
And position yourself in front of the yellow arrow for a smooth descent!
Rafting-Tornado and Bobsleigh-Vortex360 Slopes
The maximum number of sliders per descent is determined by the attendant based on the sliding conditions at the time of the descent. This measure ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone
The magic carpet at the Tube Slopes
To ensure the smooth operation of the magic carpets on the Tube slope and a pleasant, safe ascent, please follow these instructions: do not sit in your tube during the ascent. However, young children may remain seated in their tube under the supervision of an adult. Your cooperation ensures a smooth and safe experience for everyone.
The magic carpet at the Bobsleigh-Vortex360 Slopes
To ensure the smooth operation of the magic carpet on the Bobsleigh-Vortex360 slope, you must position one person at the front of the craft and another at the back to assist with your ascent to the top. Do not sit in your craft during the ascent.
Minimal height: 1,32 m
The slopes in the Avalanche and Formula 1 zones at the top of the Tube slope, the Bobsleigh, and the Vortex360 are reserved for sliders measuring a minimum of 1.32 m (52 inches). Strategically placed signs on the site allow you to measure yourself. Please do this before purchasing tickets for the Total Experience! Measure children without their hat or helmet, with their feet flat on the ground.
The starting gate at the Rafting-Tornado Slopes
Make sure to follow the instructions at the start! Avoid getting stuck between the craft and the starting gate on the Tornado-Rafting slope. Gently place the raft on the start barrier, then get settled for your descent!
Warning signs
Signs have been placed in various locations to remind you of the rules, particularly for the extreme slopes on the Tube slope and the Tornado and Vortex360 slopes. Caution: these crafts can reach high speeds and fast rotations.
Avoid this activity if you suffer from:
- Heart failure
- High blood pressure
- Dizziness
- Other medical conditions
Closed Slopes
Avoid the slopes marked as "closed." Dangerous sliding conditions, groomers, or employees working are the main reasons why slopes are closed during operating hours. There is always a good reason!
